Sitting higher (Page 1/4)

Hey guys, thanks for all the help, car is finished, riding on a new suspension.

But it seems the front end is sitting higher, or maybe it's just me.

It that even possible? New cushions doing it ?

Maybe I'm hallucinating. Lol

There needs to be more trees and grass in this shot of your Fiero.

It's difficult to tell if your '86 sits higher now without an earlier shot with the same wheels/tires to compare it with.

It's a screen grab from a video as the alignment guy drove it by. Yeah it was off a hundred yards.

This is before photo.

A) New spring cushions could have an affect- also, if you installed new springs.

B) Did you make sure to properly seat the spring in the mounting circle on the lower arm? I had one once that was mis-aligned and it sat high- check and make sure teh springs are fitted into the curly-slot. (Not the Moe- or Larry-slot!!)

This is after , front looks high, as far as I know the springs are in correct, with new pads.

Whether it's a photo or video, it's still a weird orientation to shoot that shot. Is your TV also turned on its side?

If it's any higher than that now, it's rather tough to ascertain from your "after" photo.

Was the weight of the car on the wheels/tires when the control arm bolts were tightened, or was the car lifted with the suspension hanging when those bolts were tightened?

Yes it was done correctly with weight on the suspension. Not sure about lower control arm, mine are flat ? Don't understand what he's talking about.

This might help explain.

'84

Not '84

If you've installed new springs, it might just take them awhile to settle.
