I have decided to go white with my 87 GT.
I plan to keep the side molding strip black, but I don't know about the lower trim/sideskirts/front lip. I think it might look good with those sections painted black also.
I'd like to see examples of all white Fieros compared to white ones that have the lower trim painted black (or some other color). I am sure this could be done with photoshop, but I don't know how.
BTW wheels will be red with black shadow. Interior is also red/black.

IMO, rocker panels painted black make the car appear to be sitting higher, as the black rockers blend in with the shadow under the car. On my red Formula, I painted the rocker panels silver. I think it looks great.
It's a more difficult choice with a white car, as silver rockers wouldn't have enough contrast with the body color. I solved that problem on my white Subie by leaving the rockers white, but applying a gold colored decal just above the rockers which matches the factory gold wheels.

I think in both instances, Raydar's and 87GT3800SC5SPD's all white Fieros look much better than having the rocker panels painted black. No offence to longjonsilver. [This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 07-14-2024).]

My 86 has the factory stock grey lower rockers. In my opinion, whatever color your Fiero is, it will look better painted all one color. (No separate trim color) So, just for reference here is the way most Fiero rockers came from the factory…. Kit

Mono tone it, leave the black belt molding, keep it classy.
