Hey guys, my daughter finished the video this morning...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5C_7epwKeo
The next video is going to be the interview with Cliff, she's just really behind in her videos and wanted to get the second half of the engine rebuild finished.
Thanks!

So, I'll share a little secret with you. This weekend we finally got back on all four wheels. We're really behind in the videos, but the engine is installed, and we just did the suspension and put the wheels on. My daughter did the driver's side all by herself, I just used my hands to compress the spring for her. Hers is in there perfect, I mean, everything is solid.
I did the passenger side while she did some other work (just to help her out and hurry it along since she already knows how to do that now), and I jacked up the passenger side. The spring hat is misaligned, the knuckle has a bias to point inward, all kinds of stuff. It was humbling, hahah...
Thanks everyone for watching.

No, when we removed it, there was no gasket on it at all, not even the slightest bit. You can see that here in one of her older videos when she was removing it: https://youtu.be/J2603jsREa...LUBUqut54YFo8J&t=280
It seemed weird to me, but I found absolutely no gaskets online either, and the engine was totally original when she disassembled it. So she used a special RTV sealant that's meant to work in high-torque oil saturated situations.

All that I can say is GREAT JOB. You should be very proud of your daughter for tackling this restoration. I just wish that more young people took an interest in the classic automobile hobby. It can be so much fun when you complete a restoration and then be able to drive and enjoy it. Its very satisfying. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. You guys do such a good job on these. The commercial intro, the 10/10 synthwave throughout, AJ's narration...all are fantastic. The "taking forever" part hit a little close to home. Think I'm gonna finish my seats up today
