Hi guys, I love my Fiero and it's my DD but I want to get into racing/rally... So I need some cheap pos that I can learn to drive stick, drive turbo, drift, and just drive fast.... So I want FR, stick, preferably turbo and cheap... Just want a car to teach me skills such as heel toe, double clutch, clutch kick, engine brake, and brake boosting (turbo).... I was thinking an 80's supra, any other good canidates? It has to have those options, thanks ------------------ 86 Fiero GTX project now tearing up the street, My build thread! 3800sc, interior, wheels, suspension and more! http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/089483.html

Second and 3rd gen Supras are heavy but the 4th (final) gens are great cars. I don't know if you can find one in the "pos" category, though. If you can spare the coin, they can be found in big single and twin turbo models.

Really? Wouldn't have guessed thanks, but yeah I would kill for a 98 single turbo... Just way out of my price range lol really looking for something 2500 or less. ------------------ 86 Fiero GTX project now tearing up the street, My build thread! 3800sc, interior, wheels, suspension and more! http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/089483.html

older volvo turbo is the way to go. or maybe find a miata, they are easy/cheap enough to turbo if you must have it. you might be able to find an early 300zx turbo for cheap. or maybe a 200sx turbo, though they are getting impossible to find. but why limit yourself to those specs? maybe look for like a 2wd s10 or ranger? they are very competitive in the enthusiast side of rallying. you want turbo but that comlicates lots of things on the maintenance side. i rallied an older fwd mitsubishi mirage and had a lot of fun with it and was competitive, only because I was consistent and reliable. reliability is key! look on some enthusiast websites for a used rally/race car, can get them very cheap with lots of spares and don't have to worry about dumping a lot of money into the safety stuff to pass inspection, especially if you want to get into rallying.
