For other cars, pick and chose. Eagle Talons are nice, AWD, and are just Eclipses, so they are fun to drive! Mercedes C Class coupes are fun and not TOO pricey if you get an early model. 90s Mercedes SLs are EXTREMELY fun to drive, and have some NICE power to them, though are a little bit pricey, probably on your high side on price.

Nissan 180SXs can be modded well and be fun and quick. Lets also not forget the Toyota Celica, and Toyota MR2.

Make sure you got he money to run the car, so gas mileage should be a concern if you will be driving this car. I mean, I have 5 cars, my Camaro does not get driven much because it gets a whole 8mpg city. That... gets expensive... fast.

I suppose I'll take a harder look at them . I can't even find a single 180SX for sale in the northeast haha. Celicla is a fwd rice bomb IMO, MR2s are blah compared to Fieros. Yes thats not an issue, this isn't my first or 2nd car . I'm just trying to find something different that will be almost as fun to drive as my old Fiero was.

Miata?

Really, anything made by Mazda is fun to throw around.

Yes! It keeps slipping my mind. There was a really nice one for sale here for around 4k, this is definitely on my watch list!

195s stretched on a 10" wide wheel? That's... incredibly stupid.

My DD runs 225s and they seem too stretched on an 8" wheel.

Yeah I'd be worried about driving down the highway like that.. Especially being 1" off the ground haha.

Ok I think I found a candidate..

CL ad description, he wants $2500 OBO. Car is inspected and is driven, he said that the cradle was bent from whatever accident it had- and he swapped in a new one. The reconstructed title is the only thing that bothers me.

i have a 1986 pontiac fiero se v6. lots of new parts.
all new gaskets
new exhaust gaskets including manifolds
complete intake manifold gasket set
oil pan gasket
head gasket
rear main seal
new battery
new clutch
new flywheel
new alternator
new brake pad and rotors all around
all new shocks
new hadlights with hids
all new side markers
17x7 inch rims with goodyear tires
fresh tansmission fluid
new oil and filter
new air cleaner
all new vacuum lines
new engine wiring harness
new belt
new seat covers
refurbished engine cradle
new brake lines
new clutch line
all new fluids
fully tinted
and im sure im forgetting some stuff

got the car cheap. put tons of time and money into it but dont need the car. car needs inspection. should pass easily. i just dont have the time or space for the car. looks great. exhaust sounds even better than it looks, great on gas. car is a 4 speed with 87,xxx miles and about 10 miles since the new clutch and parts were installed. would make a great first car bc of its fast clean look. few things the car does need is a new tach filter (tachometer reads about 1000-1500 more bc of bad filter). interior needs a radio. and headlight motors dont go up and down.

Oh how I wouldn't have ever known if you wouldn't have mentioned it

Well I talked to the seller tonight, and I don't think I want it. He found it sitting in a field and rebuilt it from that, the wheels in the pics aren't included- the stock SE ones are with brand new winter tires. The interior isn't in the most fantastic shape, the exhaust is catless with a glasspack in place of it. No rust except for some surface rust on the front subframe. He said it runs very strong and has no issues and the lowest he'll take is $2300.

For $2k I'd think about it with the stock wheels, too bad its not a getrag tranny

I am digging the shaved mouldings...

I passed on that Fiero.

Interesting note... So my registration expires on my GP in august, and I really want to get rid of it cause its boring as hell and just too loud for me. I've been car window shopping like crazy, and today was the first time I checked insurance rates on the cars I'm considering.

Mustang GT
4th Gen Trans Am/ Z28/ SS
Miata MX5
WRX
SC300

All come within $30 per 6 months compared to my 99 Grand Prix SE. What gives?! Since when does a 330hp LS1 2 door coupe cost as much as a 150hp 3.1L family sedan? (Mine is swapped to a 3800 and built, but for insurance purposes its just a measly SE).

Meanwhile..

3rd Gen Fbodies
Fieros
Suzuki Samurais
Chevy/Geo/Suzuki Trackers/Sidekicks

All cost $150 more per 6 months. Does anyone think theres something wrong here? I always though that an LS1 Fbody or WRX was too impractical for me cause it'd cost 2-3X what my Fiero used to, but now somehow its cheaper?

What gives
