On really bad ones I run them back with 600 wet and dry followed by 1200 and 2000. Then I buff them with normal compound. They come up like new.

I highly recommend the 3M headlight polish kit. I did my 300M lights and they came out like new. They stayed that way for a couple of years and this past year I noticed they were starting to haze again so I bought some of the Meguires headlight polish since they weren't that bad. It works but only lasts about a month before they start hazing again.

This is what I do too only I use 400 wet/dry if theyre very bad. Normal hazing comes off with just buffing. REALLY bad ones I sand with 320 on a DA sander and put a coat of clear paint on them. The clear has UV protectant. I do them on customer cars that need it, except the clearing, as a courtesy for free. I did a video of it being done with a buffer. If you dont know how to use one, be carefull...you can put 'melt' marks in them running fast or holding it still for too long. All those kits you pay $20 and up for are just different blends of rubbing compound. You only need a teaspoon of compound for each light. A body shop will probably give you enough for nothing if you take them a pill bottle.
