Audio install and other stuff over time for my Neon. (Page 2/2)

I know I'm kinda late to the party, but you would have much better sound quality if you faced the subs towards the trunk instead of up towards the roof.

Good luck.

Yeah I know, but I also have to deal with the practicality of hauling my tools around. With the subs the way they are they will be less likely to be damaged when I toss in all my tool bags and such. Plus I need to be able to fold the seat down and stick lengths of wood or pipe (etc) in there when I need to get them to a job site (it's never any large quantities as I have those delivered if I need a lot, just a couple if I only need a couple to do/finish the job). I know pointing the subs towards the rear gives a longer path of travel for the soundwave to develop but with the work I do that's not always feasible. Thank you for the input though !

Edit: Oh and the paint is all done except one bad run I need to fix. I've sanded it out and will hit it with the touch up gun this weekend. Then it's time for finishing the drivers side door speakers, swapping out the rear struts and a detailed cleaning. After that I'll decide whether to put it up for sale or keep it awhile longer. I'm leaning towards up for sale right now because I really want something like a 1st gen Saturn SW or a 1st or 2nd gen Eclipse/Talon (preferably 2nd). Either something that will be better for hauling my tools in or something more sporty that my wife will happily drive when I need the Mazda to pick up wood and such.

Wow... So I have the Neon all painted and while I didn't get everything I wanted to do finished on it before putting it up for sale, I went ahead and ran a add to see what kind of intrest I got. I put it up the night before Thanksgiving and earlier tonight I had someone text me with an offer to trade a 88 Fiero 4cyl auto... As much as I want another Fiero, I'm not sure it's a good idea. They still cause me pain getting in and out of them and it's still not really practicle for work. Still, the 88 notchies are my favorite notchies... I'm going to have to give this some thought...

I'm so jealous of you guys that can do your own paint, lol. It looks very good. And hey.. If it's rust free you really can't go wrong with an 88, right?
