A converted distributor, a TBI adapter, and some junkyard parts sure do seem like a pretty complete way to modernize the Fleetwood. I am still pursuing this, but the short-term pressure is off. I managed to grab a brand new Edelbrock 1406 with spread bore adapter and air cleaner assembly for under $250, which (hopefully) gets the car back on the road... I got side-tracked with repainting the valve covers, manifold, and pushrod cover. I'm hoping to put it all back together this weekend, then I can work on getting the TBI stuff together in an intelligent fashion. Parts from a wrecked box truck usually go cheaper than those from a salvage yard as box trucks are usually completely totaled out.
