Just as a small update, I've decided on the Blade-AL module that plugs right into the FT6000AS brain. This will allow CAN door lock, etc control without adding another box. With regards to immobilizer, I'm still deciding between key/cylinder wrap, or buying a spare volvo key ring from a junkyard, and attaching a spare switchblade transponder into it.

The blade-al should do the same thing as the dlpk if I understand them correctly.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to update that I did the install without any issues. One thing I noticed was that the Volvo uses 18ga? wires for the start circuit up through the column. To over come this, I ran all new wires up the wire trough and made my connections near the pedal area. This simplified things greatly. Also, rather than store a key in the dash to wrap the immobilizer wire around, I removed the glass pill from the key head, and RTV'd this to the antenna ring. Of course, this permanently bypasses any immobilizer function, but it will allow the use of a standard $10 door key, rather than carrying around the large switchblade key, along with the Compustar 2-way remote and the EZGO RFID fob. All in all, very straight forward and not nearly as bad as the internet makes it out to be. I got it right on the first try, no SRS/ABS/CEL, etc lights. Rather excited its ready for this winter!
And also a video of the EZ-GO RFID fob. Works awesome! (Click image)
