No. Its a nice car, but I don't want to spend that much on it. I've been showing my 84 Fiero for a few years now and earlier this month I put it in the shop to get it painted. If I remember right this is the 16th year I've owned the Fiero, so I owed it something nice. Maybe if it stays there a bit longer I'll try to get the price lower.

Yahoo maps says it's 333 miles from here to there.

Why'd I check that, you ask?
Oh, no particular reason.

Hey Ray,my buddy is 600 miles behind you if you decide not to buy it.

Actually, I'm in the beginning stages of resurrecting a 1998 NASCAR edition F-150 and the wife would not be happy with another pony in the stable.

Sure, she can have 85 collectible watering cans but heaven forbid I want just one more car. ( She's not in the room as I type this ) :-)

So tell him to go for it. I mean it. That's a nice collectible Mustang.

FWIW, this was mine:

Nice car Ray,nothing like the top down on a nice day. Is there a web site for this dealer? I looked on autotrader and they had 5 1990 7up editions going from 5000 to 17800 .Would like to see pics of the truck, dont see many of them around.Hide your receipt's,wouldnt want the wife to see how much went into that beautiful truck

This was the F-150 when new. Only 3000 made in one model year so it's a minor collectible:

Babied it for 6 years and then sold it to my son-in-law when his work truck died. I kept the right of first refusal when he wore it out, though.

Well after another 7 years and a total of 198K miles it's worn out. For an idea of what it looks like now visit any junk yard and look for a black F-150. :-)

But it has NO rust or accidents so right now it's getting a new motor and suspension bits and then off to the body shop. The interior and a few mechanical items I can handle myself.

Interesting thing is that I had a hard time finding a body shop in the Hampton Roads area that would take on the job. They automatically classify this as a restoration even though it's just some minor body work and a repaint. Most of them just want to do insurance work.

I did find a couple of places though so I think I'm all set.

Oh and wifey knows about the receipts. Her first husband was a Porsche fanatic and she stuck with him and his addiction until he died so a TRUCK is no problem.

Plus I can always point out the watering cans, antique hose nozzles, butterfly pins, clay pots, wooden bowls and a bunch of other collections that came with the marriage contract. :-)

Thanks for the pic Ray,thats a nice truck! I like the wheels that came with that package. As for as my wife's hobby spending account, she had me beat for many years until I started to get into a long list of fiero parts that I needed. She still loves me anyway
