Anyone think that the Solstice coupe will become a collectors item fairly soon?

There have been several "Top 10 Collector's Cars" articles recently that list it, and a couple had it at #1. Apparently that's a shared thought.

Yeah they already are. There's a guy a state over in Oklahoma that has two of the Hydro Blue coupes. From what I understand they are incredibly rare, as far as rare Solstices, and he's wanting a pretty penny for each of them. I also see the coupes with low mileage sell for usually double what you can pay for a standard Solstice.

I could never bring myself to buying one due to having to compromise on too many things I wanted it to be, but I still love them and am glad they have such a strong following!

Now, I'm curious. Such as what?

The Solistice GXP Coupes still bring strong money. The last two we had on our lot in west Texas were purchased by customers that flew in from out of state to buy them. I was suprised you can't take the roof with you when you take it off. They remind me of early 60's sports racers with their body style.

V-8 Archie's conversion is up for sale. It was $25,000 on the Solstice Forum the last time I looked. That seems like a really great price to me (assuming it doesn't have any incurable bugs).

I used to have a blue one... they are a fun car but they were such a cheaply built car. mine was a 2006 5 speed got it with 20K on it and by the time it had 60K on it I was having so many stupid small problems I just could not keep up with them. and ended up selling it.

Awesome commuter cars. I had an 07 GXP a few years back. Bought it with 20K miles for $13,500. Drove it for a year, and just clicked over 85K. Zero issues, and I sold it for $13,000. Not a bad deal.
