I know right!

Pat, I would trade both of them to have your car building skills.

Thanks for your thoughts. I guess I better stick to the convertible.

One other thought about the GXP and Redline is I have the GM performance tune which gives me 30 more hp and 30 more foot pounds of torque. There are other tunes you can get ridiculous numbers from but the GM tune does not void your warranty or extended warranty. Of course you have to run the premium gas in the GXP and Redline but you do get better gas mileage than the NA. I just did a trip to Texas and back and I averaged 35.4 going there and 36.7 on the way back. That was on cruise control at 75 mph with an auto transmission.

My thoughts about the other 2 seaters are pretty much what you posted. Your picture was down. I'd still love to see it. Maybe the others will chime in. Are you a regular on the Solstice Forum?

I wouldent say a regular but i pop on there from time to time... not much action on there anymore.

Yes. I understand. (My apologies for the potential hijack.)

Having said that...
Before you write it off, at least drive a Miata. Any version. Drive it a bit hard. It'll make you smile.

I would say that you check out the storage space and also test drive other vehicles.... Miata, BMW Z3 or Z4. For me, the style is nice, but the fact that it doesn't have real storage space and a top that you have to get out of the car to put down/up are pretty big issues. Plus, a 6 cyl really feels good compared to a 4 cyl

No apologies are ever needed from you. I also like to interject my favorites on anyone who will listen...and I did ask for opinions. If I didn't want a Solstice/Sky so badly, I'm sure a Miata would be worth considering.

Your Solstice looks great. Thanks for posting it up. A friend at work has one that she keeps spotless. I'd be pressuring her to sell it, but it's red and not a GXP. Hopefully, the Equinox will sell soon.

I know it's not practical. If I was worried about practical, I'd have to keep the Equinox.

I'm going to go look at a 2007 Sky Redline tomorrow. 83,000 miles on it.

"but it's red"

People who have a problem with red are JUST NOT ALL THERE !!
