Okay, so I did all the work on this car and sold it to my wifes GF from highschool since her van got repossesed. I offered to buy it back in January if she finds something else she wants. So, if she finds something else then I will have this car back in about a month. If not I'll be looking for something else. However I've been thinking on what to do if I get it back.

These are the 17" Tenzo wheels I have for it with 205/40's. I'm debating on whether to keep these or look for some 16" wheels that I could put 50's on. 40's just look to thin to me.

Not only do they look to thin to me, but the ride with them is complete crap. I don't know how wide the wheels are, but I've got a few options I've been considering if I get the car back.

I could put the wheels and tires up on KSL and try to sell them or swap them for stock wheels.

I could put larger sidewalled tires on these rims, but I don't know if that would cause the front to rub when turning. Also, with the rear struts and the offset/width of the wheel, I think the rear strut spring seat would cut into anything higher profile than the 40's that are on it. With a new 40 series tire on the wheel I can just fit my finger inbetween the tread and the spring seat on the strut. So at most the tire could get about 1" larger diameter before hitting the spring seat... I'm not "in love" with those rims but a thought came to me so I did a search. I could get a coil over kit for the car, which would allow larger sidewall tires.

How hard is it to install a coil over kit?

I think I'll go with the first option of selling or trading off the rims for some stock ones or aftermarket rims of stick size and offset. However, if I have trouble doing that I may end up having to keep these wheels, in which case I will have to find a way to get larger sidewall tires on them. I'll also be replacing the struts as I'm sure they've never been replaced.

I also don't like the blue she chose for the paint but I figured since she was going to be driving it... So I will be sanding it back down and repainting it a lighter color if I get it back.
