Thanks, I Googled it and took a look. It was an interesting concept, but I think both cars look good just the way they are. Funny how the guy sold it for $24,000 and then it was up for auction months later and went for under $10,000.

Make sure you get plenty of time with the top down, though in Georgia, I don't think that will be a problem most of the time. One thing I love about the Skys and hate about the Sols is that the Skys have projectors, and the Sols don't. They can be made, but require cutting up your lenses. That's hard to swallow considering if I screwed the lenses up, they are very expensive to replace. And you have the 2.2 turbo......NOT FAIR!

Welcome tot he SKY/SOL/FIERO team!
here's mine... I always wanted a yellow 88 GT but I could never get my hands on one.. I made sure to get yellow this time
I still have my Fiero Addiction and my 2 GT's .. the Sky is an extra bonus
FYI ... solsticeforum.com and skyroadster.com National meet every summer for the summer solstice. The location changes every year. So far I've attended the last 3 which were Canton, OH, Austin TX and Asheville NC. Next year is set for Flagstaff AZ. Hope to see you there![This message has been edited by FieroMontreal (edited 09-18-2012).]

That's a nice looking Sky. Thanks for the links. I joined both forums about 3 weeks ago. Although they're both helpful and I've learned a great deal from them, they're nowhere close to being as active ( I was also going to say as friendly, but then there's OT) as Pennock's. Tell me more about the 1000 Rally? Arizona is quite a distance, but if it's prior to the last week in July, I would have to definitely consider it. After the Run for the Hills, I'm always sure that I'll have to keep my 88 GT.

I only drove the car to work for a week, but manged to put the top down for the 30 minute ride home every night. I really like a topless car, but I forgot how conspicuous it makes you(shrug). I like the looks of the projectors, but they have a finite range at which point it's just black. It goes from completely lit up to completely black within about 10 feet. The projectors on my wife's CTS are the same way. It's kind unnerving to have things suddenly pop into view. I guess I'll get used to it, but I sure miss those "shades of gray." From throwing a bunch of work into an 86 SE and then getting the 88GT that I really wanted, not getting a Turbo was not an option.

Thanks
yeah the solstice and sky forums were much more active back when the car wasn't dead. It was filled with people and it was really fun but everyone left when GM killed the car. There's also Kappa performance .com.
The 1000 Rally is an event held yearly here in Canada, it's a gumball rally on a much smaller scale for normal people. They select 50 cars out of all the applicants and we did a drive through 3 different provinces over 3 days. it was pretty cool
The picture above was taken on tale of the dragon.
The meet next year in flagstaff is the weekend before the Fiero 30th so 2nd or 3rd week of June. It's a rotating event so chances are you'll have one in your area some day.
enjoy the car, it's a great car and don't be afraid to drive it long distances[This message has been edited by FieroMontreal (edited 09-19-2012).]

I'll be sure to check out Kappa Performance. Have you done any mods on your car? The 1000 rally sounds like fun. I'm off in June, but due to the distance, I'll probably wait for one to rotate a bit closer.
Edit to say "I'm already a member of Kappa Performance. I just didn't realize that I joined...duh."[This message has been edited by carnut122 (edited 09-19-2012).]
