Went to a cruise night, guy had a 1957 Pontiac, with factory fuel injection. He said the engine was 318 cubes, the injection was "similar" to the Vette. Car has been in the family for over 30 years. I've been to a lot of car shows, this is a first for me.

Doing a search, it is claimed that the fuel injection was ONLY used on Bonneville converts, and the engine went to 347 cubes. This man's had this car for decades, claims the cubic inches that were used in 1956, and it's a hardtop. I'll see him again and dig deeper.

I had a 57 Pontiac Star Chief with fuel injected 347. It also had 3 speed hydromatic that had an extra low range ( L1 & L2) with L1 being for towing...it was a real stump puller gear. Normally, in drive it would use L2, 2 and drive. Its the same fuel injection system by Hilborn that was on 57 chevy and corvette.. I think 57 was the only year its used in all of them. I dont recall seeing even a 58 corvette with it.

In 1947, you could "order" a Ford Truck with a "water cooled" Supercharger. I had a picture of one but can't find it now. Ford Motor Company just paid around 800K for a restored 1947 Ford Truck that was factory built with the water cooled Supercharger. There are a lot of "unique" high tech goodies out there that show up now and then.
