Picked up this lil girl bout 2 months ago for a steal. Shes a diamond in the rough, but Im going to do a budget 12 sec build/restore on her. Its gonna be a slow process, but I think its a plus starting with a running car. When purchased, the car had a blown transmission. Had the transmission rebuilt by Jimmys transmissions out of chicago, IL and had the torque converter restalled to 2800. I'll get pics of my progress up soon, trying to get this PIP working again... -Ben

Sweet, can't wait to see your build. I've been into these cars since they came out, I've had mine for about 20 years now.

Yup. And with a few mods, are stupidly fast.

Well, this is what I have to start with. Pretty rough, I know, but its a start. Gonna be uploading progress pictures as I go, but in the meantime, heres a few of my 85 GN with 87 drivetrain swap:

Nice! I like it! And it's a T-top car too? That's gonna be a fun ride. I'm not so sure how suitable the T-tops will be for a drag racer, since the body will try to twist, but what the hell... Right?
Good luck with your resto-mod.

Yes, Raydar its a T-top car. And the craziest part about it is - the T-tops dont leak! :O The dew wipes on the outer window are shot though, so water could potentially get in the doors if it rains (have it in one of those car pup tents outside at the moment :P) I will post pictures and progress tomorrow after work when theres more light to take pictures -Ben
