So, i've had my '06 HHR for almost a year now, 5 spd, and i have a few questions.
1. I drive mainly highway miles, around 60-65 a day (approx 4 miles is city, and 56-ish highway daily), and i was wondering if there was an ECM tune or something that would improve my mileage, i get 30-ish on average, is that pretty much as good as that ecotec is gonna net me?
2. also, i'm looking for a decent, inexpensive roof rack, doesnt need to be fancy, just dont want it to fall off if i've got something tied town up there. ive seen a TON of them on the internet, but dont know whats good and what isnt.
if anyone has any HHR horror stories, i'd love to hear them.

We had an 07HHR SS. We added a Thule Roof rack to cary surfboards and our race bikes. Ended up using the rack to carry all kinds of construction stuff before we got our dually.

mine is the 2.2, so that might account for mileage difference, i try to be super nice to it just because of how much i drive. bought it in december of last year and already over 16k miles on it, and it hasnt even left the metro area.
it doesnt have the factory roof rails installed, so i may need to find those first. :/
im mainly trying to find a way to transport a GT fastback clip 400+ miles in/on my HHR. suggestions?

2011 HHR only gets about 32mpg on hiway. 2.4l, 5 speed.
Don't put rails on your roof, unless you really, really want them. Get a hitch and rent a trailer, or borrow/rent a truck to move the piece.[This message has been edited by jaskispyder (edited 08-29-2012).]
