2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited (Page 1/1)

So I believe I will be purchasing a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited. It has 134,000 miles on the body and 70,000 on the engine. Clean carfax. Motor was replaced due to the previous owner running over something and cracking his oil pan, then ignoring the fact an engine needs oil to operate. I would be the second owner and since it is through a dealer (my family mechanic) I get the 90 day warranty. I'm going to try and negotiate a longer warranty. Anyway, it is the non-turbo motor but is fully loaded as far as options. The price is $7000. Just curious if anyone has any input on this car. I think it would be a peppy commuter good for all weather to replace my aging, and currently crippled, Pontiac 6000. All opinions and comments welcome! I test drive it Tuesday. Oh and the timing belt is brand new so no need to worry about that. Let me know what you guys think!
Thanks,
-Josh

Subarus are good cars. Since it isn't a turbo car or a WRX it probably wasn't beat on so it should be good for many miles. I bought a 2012 Legacy last year, so I'm also hoping they are good. I like the way it drives and how much torque the engine has (for a 4 cylinder). As long as the one your looking at checks out and is within bkue book values, I think you'll be happy.
