Help me diagnosis my 86 SAAB 900 T low beams. (Page 1/1)

Hey guys. No low beams at the moment , front and back.
-Battery at 12.7 Volts.
-Parking lamps and High beams are functional.
-My 900 is equipped with foglights , only come on with the parking lights on / off.
-Fuses and relays are in tact. However , when you switch from the parking lights to the low beams , you hear the same exact click ( From the relay ) and the dash light appears ( For the brights ) as if you activated the brights.

-My possible causes.
Switch?
Short?
Wiring somewhere?
Very unlikely , but the bulb?

I'd check the switch with a multi-meter. Determine the 12v input and then see if there's an output for both the high beam and low beam. If there's an output for the low beam, track it to the relay and from there to the headlight.

Just got back , I got off some excess corrosion crud off the terminals , checked battery voltage , checked grounds and wiring...Now , I DO think it's the switch , No lights come on at all , no interior lights or anything.

However , guessing is not going to solve the problem here.

Okay , just put in a new switch from eBay for 20$s , beats the hellouta of Advanced or other places who wanted 80+!!!
The lights are fully functional now.
