Working on a buddy's 99 Tahoe with a leak at the ABS pump, where the lines go out to the wheels. Two of the lines have leaks. I thought maybe the metal lines were rusted away or loose, but it turns out there are fittings the lines go into on the pump, and these fittings seal to the pump body with o-rings. The fittings actually look like where the fuel lines attach to the TBI on our iron duke cars.
I can't find a listing for them online anywhere, and the dealer is closed until Monday. I would just go to the hardware store and match them up, but I'm wondering, is there a specific o-ring material that is brake fluid compatible? Or does someone have a part number I could cross reference at an auto parts store?

O-rings come in hundreds of diameters and I doubt you'll match one up at the hardware store. Then again, I'm not sure GM will sell you just the o-rings. As far as material is concerned, your brakes are a high priority item so I'm not sure you'd want the risk compatibility issues. Good luck.

Apparently these metal fittings are called 'tube adapters', the part labeled 2 in the diagram is the o-ring. Found this picture in the service manual, but no part numbers.

The dealer does have a listing for these, $7 a piece, 3-4 days to get them.

About 4 or 5 years ago my 99 SIlverado was recalled for some kind of abs fittings. But I thought it was at the wheels not the pump.
