Why? It's always this high. I realise some people make a part time buisness selling car covers but with that much competion I think I would find something else to sell. If you list a car cover do's it go on the last page?
Each and every gallon of gas we buy cost $2. more because of Obama's energy policies.

You must not understand how modern selling on eBay works, especially when dealing with "generic" items.
Ebay sellers found out some time ago that an effective way to sell a good deal of aftermarket items is to correlate them further to the specific vehicles they are trying to sell them as fitting. What they are selling likely has no real fitting to what they are actually stating it does. So what you get is maybe just 1 type of car cover sold by one individual, but over 500 auctions for it from that person stating it will fit a particular car. The seller may only have a few dozen, not actually having over 500 of the product, but will eventually sell them, simply because of individuals whom purchase the product thinking it'll fit their cars. EBay doesn't charge any sort of auctioning fee until the item sells, so the seller ensures they use a variety of auctions with varying titles to surpass eBay auctioning fees and can just keep re-listing them as long as they don't sell.
Just try it. Search anything automotive related - seat covers, ricer spoilers, LED lights, ANYTHING like that. You'll get the same similar results every time. Especially with automotive aftermarket items meant for the tuner crowd.

One store may have 100 covers in stock to sell...thus his alone is 100 items. Especially true for generic covers that just go by car size. He could put them all in one ad saying he has 100 available...but your sure to get them seen with many ads.

And there could be multiple users who are actually the same company selling the same item. I've noticed this while shopping for aftermarket bike parts. Put a couple auctions side by side and the ONLY thing that's different is the user name and price. For example, I've been looking for a pair of Kuryakyn black Scythe mirrors (knockoffs). There are 2 users in Cali, both with the exact same item, exact same pics, exact same ad, exact same location, etc. One is priced $10 cheaper but charges $11 shipping. The other is $10 more but free shipping. I guess, as long as they have 2 separate Paypal accounts (and 2 separate bank accounts), eBay accepts it.
