Help with 98 Cavlier, maybe a Passlock problem (Page 1/1) FieroGT42 OCT 30, 02:17 PM It had an intermittent starting problem, so I installed a starter button bypassing the ignition switch. Faster & easier for me. It worked perfectly for years, so I'm pretty sure that was a bad switch, not a Passlock problem. Now it has a new problem where it dies and then will not crank. Removing the battery ground resets something so that it starts again, but it will eventually die again. Is it the key resistance sensor?
