i am putting a tpi set up off a 305 1991 trans am on my 1978 350 K10 Chevy. the computer has been chipped for 24# injectors, vats delete, and no emission. the problem i am running into is that the holes on the intake between cylinders 2 and 4 and 3 and 5 are at a different angle than the rest. so do i modify the holes to work or do i switch heads ------------------ this is the pics of all my cars http://www.motortopia.com/93xr7merc and http://www.fquick.com/bkcamaro 70 Buick Riviera Stage 1 455 Big Block Auto Dual Carb 73 Buick Riviera GS 455 Big Block auto (#2 on dream car list) 78 Chevy C 10 Step Side Pick up 350 auto 85 Chevy Camaro Z28 383 stroker auto (#3 on dream car list) 96 Chevy Camaro Z28 350 LT1 auto (daily driver during the nice months) 14.1 at 99.25 mph 8/5/09 98 GMC 2500 350 auto (plow truck) 86 Pontiac Fiero 2.5L 5 speed (mgp car) Videos of most of my cars http://www.youtube.com/user...eos?flow=grid&view=0

I think it's standard fare to modify the holes. A quick online search will do.

I think it would be easier to just find a 350 TPI engine and swap it into your truck using the stock Camaro wire warness and ecm. |

Most ppl try to pass 305s as 350s and true 350s seem to cost an arm and a leg I got mine a few years ago for $400 motor trany wiring harness and computer and ta dash that I still want to put in a Fiero lol but the k10 is a mud truck so I want to keep it cheaper I have a stand alone harness now since I was asking about making the stock one work and all ppl said go aftermarket

True 350's are pretty easy to find. People selling them for more than they are worth probably have alot of money wrapped into them or just think their sh*t is gold.
As far as the manifold not alining properly. The TPI manifold you have is a newer one that is designed to work with the center bolt "Vortec" heads. If you can find a TPI manifold base from a 85-86 Camaro or 85-91 Corvette or a Edelbrock TPI Manifold, those have the standard bolt pattern that would bolt right up to your 350. Me and my brother were gonna try to do this with our plow truck, but decided against it because we got a great deal on a Edelbrock carb and then I left for the Army. So the TPI sits on a shelf now.
Here is a nice article. http://www.classictrucks.co...estions/viewall.html
