I finished fixing everything that needed fixing on my 95 Honda del Sol VTEC, air cleaner assembly, painted wheels and parts of the brakes that you can see, my mechanic did the timing belt and water pump and turned the brake rotors and fixed a solenoid that was leaking, I cleaned the motor, new trans oil, new radiator, fixed cracked front bumper, and new antenna. And took it to One Day Paint and Body today. They have four paint jobs each one up better paint and better prep. They has a sale this month on the next to the best I got that. The best cost considerably more, and I saved $150 with this sale price. We went around it several times and he marked each little ding, there were a lot more than I thought, all old cars have these. Total was $900, I have had them paint my 88 CRX Si and 87 Prelude Si and the front bumper on my 87 Fiero GT, I believe One Day is western states only. There is a $29 Calif state environmental charge in that and sales tax. Man I hate Calif state government.

Downright hot this afternoon 88
All TV and radio all day is coverage of the manhunt in Boston at least on the channels I have been on.
I got my del Sol back from the painters and its just beautiful very happy. Bright and shiney, no dull areas. They primer it before paint and there was some primer overspray in the doorjams which I removed with lacquer thinner and a rag. One Day is much much better than Maaco or Earl Schieb but its still much cheaper than say a new car dealer would be or a top quality paint shop. They mask everything and you can find some places where there is paint on the rubber around the windows or other places, still in all its a real good job, my car looks really good. My del Sol drives really nice and is fun to drive at this time I plan to keep it till my dying day which at my age may be a lot sooner than I want. The VTEC switches over to the high RPM cam at 5200 RPM and you can hear it and feel it, its great fun to run it through the gears shifting then but I'm afraid I'm going to get a speeding ticket if I keep that up.
I took two buses to get back and to get to the paint shop. 1 1/3 hour on the bus, it takes 20 minutes to drive. With hordes of Mexicans the bus stops every two blocks. Still I am grateful to be able to use the bus for something like this.
