I'm hoping someone out there can help. I have a 94 Grand Prix SE, 2 door coupe. It has the door handles up in the B pillar on the doors. I'm looking for the door latch for the driver's door...the one that has the fingers that grip the striker bolt, holding the door shut. The one on my car is worn out, and although the outer door handle is working, there's no guarantee how long it will work. The part is no longer available from GM, and local junkyards will only sell you a complete door. I need the latch, and the lockrod that runs to the outer key lock, for the driver's side. Anyone out there happen to have one, or know of a junkyard that might have those parts? I'm more than willing to pay for the parts, the shipping, and a little for your time and trouble if you happen to find one on one of your outings to a U-Pull It or other such place. I think that the latch off of a similar year Olds Cutlass will also work. Not sure if they use the same latch on a 4 door car or not, but I KNOW the lockrod would be different, as the door handle setup is different on a 4 door. Any help is GREATLY appreciated...I'm trying to keep this ol' girl running a few years longer.

According to rockauto.com, that's the outside door handle. What I need is the actual latch mechanism. They show one for the right side, but not one for the left.

I'm in Nebraska, near Omaha. I've checked car-part.com...all I can find on there is the door handle, not the actual latch.
