i got a 9 in and i would like to know what gears it has and if its a posi i havent cracked it open yet so i looked at the tag i dont know how to read them this is what the tag says

off the top of my head... mid 70's truck rear. true 9 inch ring gear, some 9s acutually used smaller ring gears . open diff 2.75 gears. all i got so far. have to do some more digging to make sure i remember correctly. went through this for my camaro not too long ago.
oops. late 70's, early 80's. I think your WDM CI is actually supposed to be WDM CJ.

Do you need to know what the letters stand for or what the ratio is?
If you just need the ratio you can jack up the rear, turn the wheel one rotation and see how many times the input goes around.

Just gearing and if its posi I have a 9 in on my shop floor and I am Debating on which car to put it in my 70 riviera or my 85 z28
