I'll see if I can dig up the whole story, but I ran into this one at a local Ford show... Story is a local racer was looking for a sponsorship and the only one he could get was from Kathleen's Beauty Salon. The original car was lost/damaged/destroyed, but someone built this racer as a tribute. It's a neat car with a neat history.

Hey you take any sponsor you can get. I had Charles Pensone Beauty Care (splg?) partially sponsor me once, as well as Leggs Panty Hose.

People all love seeing old race cars. I just went to the SCCA Vintage Gran Prix. One guy had like a mid 30s sprint car. Flathead Ford V8, 32 Ford wire wheels and 4" wide tires. It actually kept up pretty decent against 50s cars.

Thank you for bringing me into the group, my name is Toby, I live in Olympia, WA. I love street legal oval track cars. I have a street legal sprint car that is licensed & insured here in WA. & we are building another one. As soon as I figure out how to put pictures on this site I will. I have a group on FB that is called Street Legal Oval Track Car with 16 different albums of street legal race cars, fun rides, (hand built custom vehicles), custom push vehicles, street legal bumper cars, before & after (race car to street conversions), starting & unfinished,(cars that just starting to be built or just about finished)

With the old race cars that are street legal you actually have a better bill board then the ones that race & people will advertise on it, I sell advertising on mine all the time.
