tpi swap no start (Page 1/1)

i swapped my tpi set up into my 78 k10 and i am having problems with the injectors not working i got a noid set to make sure and its still not working
the tpi is out of a 1991 TA with a new stand alone wiring harness the computer has a chip in it to turn off the vats
any ideas

i am using the fuel pump and tank out of the TA i do have 45 psi at the rail

How does it know the engine is rotating? (cam sensor, crank sensor, pick-up in the distributor?). If it doesn't know the engine is rotating, conventional set-ups will not fire the injectors.

cam and crank sensors arnt on a tpi set up it duz have a knock sensor and o2 sensor which i have hooked up then all the sensors in the trottle body are hooked up and the one for the distributor at this moment i am thinking bad computor but just not sure

it will fire with starting fluid and timing is good (with the distributor pointing at cyclinder 1 at tdc good) i have 11.5v at both wires going to the injector i also have a chip to bypass the VATS system and emissions control that the 91 TAs had

from what i read thus far is the computer controls the ground for the injectors and with the new harness i have all good grounds

do you have a way to check for DRP, ie laptop and ALDL cable?
