Here's the deal, I have a friend in Dallas, TX with a 96' Chrysler Sebring JX Convertible. Details: - White w/ Black top - 4 Cylinder w/ ~136K - Automatic - Water pump, timing belt & thermostat replaced in Feb 2012 - New brakes, new window regulator - New top in 07 or 08 w/ rear defrost
It'll start and run very very badly, the code is showing is multi-cyclender misfire. It may be as simple as the coil pack, but as it could needs a new cat to pass smog in June and the drain holes on the passenger side are plugged (water in passenger foot well)... she's tired of dumping money into it. It's time for this beast to go.
Here are the options I'm thinking: - Donate... at that point do you claim the KBB value of $750'ish for taxes? - Scrap it... if Fiero's are bringing $400, it would seem like this could bring as much, but who would get it? - Pick'n'pull... I called the folks at www.picnpull.com and the offer they had was $340. Are there other pic'n'pulls in the area that are worth calling?
Selling it in Craig's List really isn't an option since I wouldn't feel comfortable with her working with Joe blow coming in off the street. Anyone in the Dallas area know of any other options?

I think you cover all the bases. The easiest way to get rid of it is to donate it, they will come pick it up. If you itemized taxes then that could help a little. If you need the money then sell it to picknpull or some other junkyard. I'm not sure how much you'd get or if your responsible for getting the car there could cost.
