Hi all, just thought some of you would like to see some pics of a foreign sports car you don't see every day. I have seen only one of these and that was about 6-7 years ago at a Half Moon Bay, Ca car show! I have 3-4 pics but need someone to host for me.
Anyone? Lastly, without further ado...the car is a Lancia Beta Scorpion. Being its in a Calif coast junk yard it does have some moderate fender rust here and there but there is lots of good stuff on this car. It doesn't look like too many guys have taken anything off of it. The interior looks pretty darn good too! I thought about taking the seats but figured I would have a hard time finding a way to ship them.

I saw a old Saub and a few other rare old cars at different times at Pick Your Part in Sun Valley CA. This is a big high volume yard, the cars are only in the yard a short time and then they go to scrap metal. Sure seems a shame they don't save rare old cars.
There was a time that lasted for years where 460 Ford, 455 Buick, Olds, Pontiac, and 500 Cadillac engines were a dime a dozen, their gone forever 440 Chrysler and 396 Chevy were near non existent or would be pulled the 1st day there. .

Yes, it is a "Monte Carlo" but of the Italian kind.
By the way, the reason it's called the Scorpion here is because GM already trademarked the name. In order to import them Lancia had to give it a different name.

When those cars are done right, they are beautiful. Also if you notice it has a Fiat 124 motor in it with the Lancia valve covers. The parts are interchangeable:
