Finally got this one on the road again! Some may remember the FS thread Lilchief posted awhile back about his Bonneville SSEI for sale. Well, after selling the truck, I needed a new DD, so I got the Bonnie goin strong. Just a few things needed...the rest I just did :P
-Replaced ALL the brake lines -Replaced fuel lines from gas tank to the frame rail -Right front strut was blown - replaced -Replaced fuel pump -Had 2 used but decent tires thrown on the front -Changed the oil - added prolong to it -Changed Trans fluid/filter -Changed coolant to green - added 160* thermostat -Changed plug wires to Taylor 8.5MM and AC Delco plugs (already had MSD coils - shweet!) -Added a lil cold air intake that I had laying around to it (Free from a co-worker) -PCV changed -JVC HD61 Head unit added -Alpine Type R 8in woofer added with a Alpine MRV250 amp (underpowered but still sounds good) -Currently sanding/refinishing wheels & awaiting T-handle shifter from mmeyer86gt/gtp
*Future plans* 3.4in modular pulley system 3in Downpipe Full exhaust ZZP 1.0 ECM
Have put almost 3K on it since Ive got it running, and its a super comfortable car to drive! Thanks again to lilchief!
I will post pics tonight - computer at work is acting up.

Definitely would like to see some pics - SSEis are one of my all-time favorite cars. I continually think about buying one, but all the ones within 100 miles of here are decimated on the inside.

Very nice. I liked the 2000 Bonneville we had, although it wasn't a SSEi. I wouldn't mind another one, but the one we had was tipping 300k miles so we replaced it.

Very cool. Love me some L67 powered cars. I see you wrote that one of your future mods is a downpipe then put full exhaust. Are you planning on adding headers? I'm sure you know this, but headers come with a dp so you can avoid purchasing that seperate.

Keep ur stock coils handy...MSD coils r known for causing misfires on the 3800..Nice ride and clean..

Crazy that you mentioned that. Ive noticed when it rains hard, that I get the code for Randum/multiple cylinder missfire detected - think thatd be caused by the coils? Only happens when it rains..... whaddya guys think?

Possible, I've never run MSD coils for the very reason MustangsBeware mentioned. My GP has a turbo on it and I still run the factory coils. Although its rather odd that your multiple misfires only happen when it rains.

Yeah, and it has to be a HARD rain to - if its just drizzleing/sprinkleing out doesnt bother it. Its when we get a decent/hard rain that it throws the code. Maybe a leak in the coil? 0.o
