What is the best way to remove the tranny? I have in the past on american made front wheel drive cars drop it out the bottom. On this German built car do you do it the same way?

I am virtually positive there is a DIY for this on tdiclub - those guys are crazy with their howtos!

I've done a few....it is a pretty easy job. I think my fastest time is under two hours, but that is under ideal conditions. Look closely at the flywheel as they are known for issues. We generally replace them at the same time. Dave
