2003 Mustang v6 Evap leak hubted down to the EGR valve.....I think. (Page 1/1)

My 2003 V6 Mustang is due for emissions testing in September. All they do is look for codes. So I have been getting a check engine light with a code for a "small leak" in the Evap system. I worked the easy stuff first. New gas cap, new o-ring in the new gas cap, checked the fill neck for holes, found some hoses that were getting crumbly, replaced those. I still got the code after 150 miles. So I made a smoker and smoked the engine. Found just a teeny tiny bit of smoke weeping out of the outer diameter of the EGR valve. I know nothign about EGR valves other than they let exhaust gases back into the system and are part of the same vac system as the rest of the car. Since the car checks for vac bleed down I'm assuming this is the culprit. However EGR valves are weird to me. So I am double checking with you guys. You think that is my leak? Also no smoke in all of the hoses and canisters mounted elsewhere in the car. Like back by the gas tank.

Thanks
