My son was involved in an accident where he was sitting in a divided highway waiting for traffic to clear when apparently a lady in a 2003 Liberty side-swiped him. As my son is the introverted quiet type, I fear that he's getting railroaded on this one. She claimed his bumper was in her lane. The officer drew it up at an impossible angle (considering the physical evidence). He was in my 94 Chevy S-10. The first scuff is on the passenger door and begins 11" to the rear of the front edge of the door. That one is about an inch wide and about 33" off of the ground. Then there's a major impact/scrape that is 19.5 inches to about 23 inches off of the ground that begins on the leading edge of the door and ends at the wheel opening. I'm guessing this is the metal beam/bumper? I also have creasing of the fender lip (right above the wheel opening at about 29-31" off of the ground. So, my questions are: What is the Liberty's bumper height (the metal beam), what on the front corner/side sits at about 29 inches, what hard part is at about 33 inches, and what is the height of the side view mirror? Thanks for any help on this.
