hey guys, im back here posting again. thought id make a build thread of what i have done with my 89 ford f250 i bought a couple years ago.
i sorta fell into this truck, i was only half looking for something to replace my chevy but wasn't really serious about it. a friend of mine and my dad's that goes out to nevada in the winter buys old cars and parts and trucks. what he does is bring them back here and sell them at swap meets. well he usually will buy a few trucks and fill them up when he ships them back here.
he happened upon this truck here a 89 ford f250 with a bad motor and thats all the info i got other then the pictures that and the guy was the first owner of it. the truck it turns out was orginally purchased in rhode island and then drove back to nevada. then the truck was painted white and used till he decided to sell it.
i discovered upon bringing home this alleged truck was it had a leaking front main seal and knocked. i drove it around my garage and took the wheels off checked brakes, they looked fine. i had bought some more wheels/tires for the truck as it had about 4 differn't rims and tires on it. i put them on and planned to have the wheels sandblasted and repainted black. so during that i moved the truck 3 or 4 times and while putting it back again it died on me and would not restart. i figured a fuel pump quit as i couldn't hear one run at all. so i pushed/rolled the truck back by hand, i pushed it a little with my chevy and a little with my hands turning the tires till it got back in place where it stayed for a year or so.
well it got moved its second winter here to my neighbors garage just so i could get it out of the winter weather. i had planned on working on it at another place but things fizzled out. so i then i worked out a deal and rented the garage from my neighbor and started work this summer. so the truck sat here two years before i got anything done on it. i also lost my license during its resting period and thats a hold up as well.
here are some pictures of the truck how it was before i bought it, these are the pictures that i got when i was considering the truck
well i was going to show you pictures of it on the trailer wheni pulled it home, but my pictures are too big. i used the same camera so idk what happened there. ill see if i can shrink them.
ok, strike two i was going to put pictures of the truck when i changed the wheels. soo ill work on that too.
please enjoy these pictures while i work on the others.
