I was just kidding you. Unless you're an experienced mechanic that likes to buy expensive hard to find parts, I'd stay away from Mitsubishi products, especially ones that have been modified by some kid who has plenty of money and lots of friends but has no mechanical knowledge. Ask him why he's selling especially after making all of those mods. I'm guessing the motor has been hammered and is on its last leg, or he couldn't sort out all of the pieces he hung on the car.

It all depends on how well it was taken care of, I've seen DSM's bring grown men to tears, (I have a DSM on my tow dolly outside lol. But Its best to find one stock, most of the time people get a hold of them and hack up the wiring and do all kinds of crazy crap to them and once it goes to a new owner and brakes its a maze to fix,

Also 9 times out of 10 when someone is selling a car with a "rebuilt motor" it either has not been rebuilt or they did something wrong and its a ticking time bomb

Sounds like a similar setup to a local guys setup that used to have a rivalry with me. Only he had 1G pistons and 2G rods (or maybe I got that backwards?) and an aluminum flywheel and stage whatever clutch. Took it to the track and went 14.5 @ 102 to my 14.0 @ 100 when the buick was stock....claimed it as a total win ::ROLLS EYES:: Still has it as far as I know....

A buddy of mine has a 1g Eagle Talon Tsi built motor, auto, and a holset turbo from a diesel truck tuned on E85. that thing is scary fast probably 550 to 600 hp they have a ton of potential but do seem to be unreliable and most DSM drivers with agree.
