2005 mitsubishi endeavour all wheel drive automatic, put the suv into drive....nothing car doesnt move at all,,,go to put it in park and i hear something like a spinning object coming to a stop and then it sounds like something did clikck into whatever position it was trying to click into, I was told that this might mean that the trans is still good ,,that the problem is with my transfer case, input or output shaft...maybe. any thoughts on what issue i have here thanks...oh the main problem is ..it seems like the trans is broke,,,

Have you checked the tranny fluid lately? Make sure you check it with the truck running.

Try it with the parking brake on. That should lock up the rear wheels and ensure if it's the xfer case that power gets to the front wheels. Maybe have someone watch underneath while you do this to see if the prop shaft or a front CV is spinning...
