Bought a 2003 S10 from my youngest brother. First truck I have owned. I was impressed with how much room there is and how well it drives. He had quite a bit of work done on it last summer so it should be good for some time. If it is as reliable as folks tell me it will be a very good buy.

If it's got the 4.3, it should run forever. If it's got the 2.2, not so much. Not the worst motor in the world, but not close to the best, either.

I'm hoping to take my 20 year old S10 on about a 20 state western tour and up the Alaskan Highway next summer. I never worry about whether it will get me there and back. Mine has bucket seats. Does yours have the bench/buckets.

Nice truck. Should be a lot better on gas than my big dodge. Did you get a family discount?

Yes, it has the bench buckets. Yes, I got a substantial family discount. It is a V6, auto, 145,000 miles. [This message has been edited by heybjorn (edited 04-12-2014).]

Very nice! I hope it proves to be as reliable as the S10s I've owned. I already sent you the link to the S10 forum. Lots of good info there. Enjoy!

You won't be disappointed. Had a 94 - 4.3 185,000 trouble free miles. Got rid of it because the company I worked for bought me an 02 - 4.3 4X4. Again, 153,000 miles until some nimrod ran a stop sign in 07. Great truck, I wish I still had it.
