Has anyone found a solution to fix delaminated taillights on a Pontiac TransAm? This is a similar problem to Fiero GT taillights, but more difficult because of the complex black grid design on the TransAM taillights. If someone knows a simple fix please post details and photos so that others can benefit from your experience. Thank you! P.S., found this website solution, any other ideas? http://ls1tech.com/forums/a...-look-new-again.html

Unfortunately no. If you have seen how I refinish the GT taillights, you can understand why and in all do honesty, that guys kit looks like crap. What he needs to do is to make the vinyl pieces smaller so you actually cover a small portion of the clear area with the paint. Since he makes the decals perfectly sized, you can see the original delaminated portion if you look at the lenses from the side or at the wrong angle.
But again to answer your question, that is probably the only way to fix the lenses short of removing all of the grid from behind and leaving the lenses without them.
