I know if any group can help me with vehicle repairs, it would be Pennock's Fiero Forum.
I just replaced both rear drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, and new rear brake hardware. The passenger side is working great. The driver's side is dragging and will get very hot in a very short time.
On the driver side, the front shoe is moving inward when it is pushed out by the wheel cylinder. Then it hangs up on the top edge on the top fixed anchor mounting plate.
Any ideas what may be causing this to occur, and how I can correct it?
I have compared everything I see to the passenger side, but do not yet see a difference.
Thank you for the help.

Maybe a little brake lube applied to "rubbing" surfaces? Are the springs not strong enough to retract the shoe? Is the parking brake released all of the way?[This message has been edited by carnut122 (edited 06-08-2014).]

Are the shoes on backwards?
