stumped (Page 1/1) ironhead.76 JUL 09, 08:44 PM I have a friend that bought a 1982 harley ironhead 1000. He called me cause he could not get it started. I tracked my happy but over there and noticed the spark plugs were not firing. i took the electronic ignition out and installed points. Now we have working ignition. still no start. I removed the air cleaner and it started. Hot damn. Well I took the air cleaner with no filter and closer i got to the carb it started to choke the motor. i was a foot away from the carb. I put my hand 6 inches from the carb and no change. what gives? never in my life have i seen or heard of such thing. does anyone have any input? JetroGT JUL 30, 12:15 PM Check all the grounds.
