This is my parents and my two oldest sisters, taken in Dallas in 1955. My dad died in 2003 so I can't ask him and my sisters don't remember.

I'm not great with mid-century vehicles, but it looks like a late '40s Plymouth.

I think it's a 1952 Chrysler New Yorker.

There you go! I was pretty sure it was a ChryCo product based on the rear fender, a New Yorker seems like perfect match.

I vote for 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe.

C pillar doesn't match what is in the OP's pic. The Plymouth doesn't have the chrome strip on the door. The hood ornament is different than what you can (barely) see the OP pic. Chrome strip on rear finder is different also.[This message has been edited by n7vrz (edited 09-15-2014).]

That weird concave section at the front of the rear fender is what sealed it for me. Never seen that on any other car from the era.

Oops, I was totally looking at the picture of the green car below it. I think I did a pretty good job on that one.

I had a 49 Plymouth. From what I remember, none of the Dodges or Plymouths had the little kick up on the rear fender molding...they were straight if they had one. I agree its the New Yorker. Also if I remember, they used all the same base body from 49-52.
