09 silverado 1500 gauge lights not working (Page 1/1) crashmydaytona NOV 05, 08:58 PM I need help figuring out why my instrument lights wont work. its been a few months since they worked correctly. they are on in the morning on my way to work but do not come on on my way home.when I tap the brake pedal lightly the lights blink on for a second. then I noticed my dome lights would not turn on when I pressed the button. they do come on when I open the doors. for a while any of the Dome light buttons would turn the gauge lights on and off. which was perfect since I could control the lights at night and see the speedometer. Now they are back to staying off . They still blink when I press the brake pedal. They also blink when I press any of my dome light buttons. Now that it's dark when I get off work I need to get this fixed. Nothing was done to the truck before this started happening. Iam not sure where to start. Any ideas would be appreciated. Hank is Here NOV 06, 11:21 AM Sounds like a floating ground issue. I would recomment that you check your ground wries for good connection and or corrosion.
