Replaced pedal switch and bulbs, but brake lights are still stuck on and will only go off when I pull the stoplight fuse. Any idea what is causing this?? ------------------ My Fiero: 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT, V6, 4-speed manual

What happens when you unplug the pedal switch?

They turn off when I unplug the switch, and that's why I went and bought a new switch. However, the lights go back on as soon as the new switch is plugged in (but nothing pressing the button that activates it). [This message has been edited by FieroCat (edited 01-03-2015).]

No, but I'll do a search for one. Must be something other than the switch. ------------------ My Fiero: 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT, V6, 4-speed manual

In the meantime, can you test the new and old switch with a multimeter, and confirm both open and close?
