You could just replace the oil pressure sender and see what happens. Otherwise removing the sender and attaching a mechanical gauge to see what the pressure really is would be the way to test the accuracy of the sender. High pressure on a mechanical gauge could mean a stuck or malfunctioning pressure regulator valve.

On some cars it will read 0 psi, Nissan is diffrent.Its a bad oil pressure sensor.Read the comments on this youtube video.Check out the other youtube videos.I beleave their talking about the oil sender ??? Do those engines have sludge issues? What oil is being used?

An oil pressure gauge can give you an excellent indication of the health of various systems in your engine. The key is to establish baseline readings when your engine is healthy, and then be aware of any changes you see over time.
