Probably only other pickups and maybe 4Runners. Remans can't be more than $25 or $35, why even mess with 20 year old junkyard parts?

I just checked rockauto..Remans are running at prices starting at $26,79 with a $10 core with new ones starting at $34.99 with no core. Are you aking for the limtied edition gold plated injectors? It isn't worth messing with 20-25 year untested junkyard injector when you can get a NEW SET for $140. Typically I find their 5% coupons equate to the cost of shipping.

I think the cheapest route would be to get some used injectors from an early 90's 4Runner with the 22Re, then send them out for cleaning. That way you will have a spare set in the end. There are several injector cleaning service companies out there. Several here have said Cruzin Performance is good. I suggest a husband-wife team with a small operation called Motorman Fuel Injection. Don't bother chasing down 22Re pickups in the yards. Most get picked over quickly and even if the motor is there it probably has very high mileage.
On another note, you sir picked one hell of a truck! The 22Re is a GREAT motor. How do I know? My 94 Toyota pickup has 375K miles and is still going strong! Kit P.S. My secret? Oil changes every 3000-3500 Valve adjustments every 30K Keep them RPM's down (over-revving a 22Re is a waste of time )[This message has been edited by Kitskaboodle (edited 05-08-2015).]

You have the rpm's part right. I put a crank kit in my nephew's Toy truck after he drove from Texas to Iowa. He admitted running pretty high speeds on the 4 lanes and crapped the rod bearings right out. Nice motor to work on.
