Short story:
Rear speakers don't work in used 97 Jimmy. How should I troubleshoot/test? Any general recommendations?
Long story:
I recently bought a 97 Jimmy for a winter beater, however, one of the previous owners has installed a JVC deck and presumably an amp and some sort of sub as the wiring was all there but nothing else installed.
I'd like to leave the deck installed, since it has auxiliary in, however, the rear speakers are refusing to work. After taking apart the front of the dash, I managed to undo most of his work. Removed the satellite radio and extra cigarette lighter, since the vehicle already has 3.
I had a look at the wiring harness running from the deck to the factory harness and it looks as if everything is matched up as expected and should work, though I did find one connector with a single green cable hanging free, but I may have unplugged this and just forgotten. It got dark before I could check further.
Any recommendations/thoughts as to how I can test or get these rear speakers working again? I'm going to check the doors tomorrow to see if any speakers are actually installed and didn't get pulled as well.
Thanks in advance!

Solved my own riddle. Pulled the panels off. Tested speakers directly, no sound, completely blown. Replaced, all better.

I had a '96 2 door Jimmy years ago. Great truck. Kinda wish I still had it.

I'm quite fond of this one myself, best $1500 I ever spent!
