Last week, I mentioned to my son-in-law Chris that the last car on my 2do bucket-list was an Opel GT. What with it's mini vett lines etc. Low and behold he found one in great shape -for a 73, nothing we can't weld up. I should have said he can't. I cannot do too much work on the Opel these days, else we would still be making intakes and headers. Anyway two days ago and to my surprise, he trailered it home. Whereas we -the wife and I- but moreover me, now have: 2 - Fiero GTs 86 & 87 1 - Opel GT 73 1 - Mitsu Lancer 2009 1 - Chry mini van 2004 1 - Chry Crossfire 2006 -the wife's It looks like I'll be selling one of my Fiero GTs; likely my 86 turbo-intercooled. It has one of our trueleo intakes and a custom, trueleo turbo headers, TRW pistons, Crane cam, new clutch, plus a lot more goodies and less than 5k on the engine.

I didn't know off hand what a Opel GT looked like so I did a image search. Pretty neat looking cars!

Good luck with your project. The Opel GT used to be my object of automotive lust until the Fiero came along. This is back in 83-84 when I was working corners in SCCA. I'm surprised that you actually found one that hadn't been reclaimed by mother nature.

Friend of a friend ran an import from Germany company for parts for the Opel. The body setup was the equivalent of a Pantera GT3. The motor was from a hi-po Opel of another model and had 4 side draft carbs. It was as fast as a motorcycle and sexy as can be.
