I had a dark green 1972 RX2 4 speed fastback coupe to drive in the '70s. Loved that car. But this... Eye candy!

Doesn't do a thing for me. It looks like a Mercedes SLR McLaren. I like M-Bs but not that one.

Big fan of rotaries (had an RX2 and an RX7) but this doesn't do it for me. Rotaries are tiny motors, so putting one in a conventionally styled GT with a long hood makes no sense to me. IMHO, Mazda should have shown off the rotary's size by building something more in the vein of MR supercar like a Gallardo or 488 and then surprised everyone with a rotary up front. Building a long hood/short deck rotary powered car seems counterintuitive to me. Why have all the acreage out front with a tiny little motor lost in the space?

Where do I sign? Oh, wait... I can't afford car payments right now.

Th front's OK. The back OK, but they were smoking way too much crack when they designed the sides between the wheel wells.

Its unique, I do like its looks, though there is something about it, I might describe it as it looks like a future/concept car that was designed by folks in the 1990s. No hard lines.

When I looked at it my thought was the roundness of the body, especially the rear hip and end area, doesn't match the hard lines around the front grille area. I like it but I don't love it. It just looks to me like it's missing some of that style that I like in Mazda's. It was traded in for roundness.

I do see Mercedes unit too, but it reminds me more of the Gran Turisml Vision project Mercedes showed a while ago.

I like it but agree that with the rotary being such a small engine it doesn't make sense under such a long hood. I'd prefer to see something more like the FC RX-7s.
