I just got one buying a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon with 131,000 miles for $3,600 out the door. Did I get a good deal or will that clutch issue come back to haunt me? I'll link up some photo's later tonight.

You "bought" an 8 year old car with 131k that needs a clutch? For $3600.00?

Where are you people when I'm selling a car?

^^^ LOL!

Honestly that's a $2K - $2.5K~ car at absolute best if it needs at clutch at that mileage, even if it does have a really good body (which many don't). There's a reason you don't see too many 10 year old Tiburons rolling around even though Hyundai made a mess load of them.

Is it the GT with the V6? From someone that has worked on plenty of V6 Hyundais from that era you're in for a very "fun" time. A transverse mounted V6 is not the easiest thing to work on, and the worst possible thing is when you have to do a simple tune up. Out comes that horrendous long runner intake and then it's all new gaskets to seal it up. That's if your Hyundai dealer has them in stock (at the time I worked on them you didn't go to Autozone to get them).

Were you simply looking for a sporty FWD two door coupe? If you were simply in this sort of market I would have looked for a 7th gen Celica. Much stronger factory and aftermarket support, loads easier to work on, and you probably could have found one for the same price with less issues.

You will love driving it. I have an 05 GS that I bought new, now has145,000 miles on it. Most fun car I have had for a DD car.

It doesn't need a clutch. I have seen that the make and model has had problems before with the clutch and that it may have been a manufacturer defect. It runs fine.

I bought it for my daughter and I told her point blank when we passed a car that was doing 70 in a 65: "Do you know how many speeding tickets I have had in the past two years in my car? If you're driving faster than me, you're driving too fast."
